Partition Horrors Remembrance Day
So, there's a special day called Remembrance Day where we remember the soldiers who fought in wars to protect our country. But there's something sad and scary called partition that happened in some countries like India and Pakistan a long time ago.
You know how sometimes you and your friend might not get along so you decide to split your toys and go play separately? That's kind of what happened with India and Pakistan. They used to be friends, but then they had some big fights and couldn't get along. So, they split up into two different countries.
But the way they split up wasn't very nice. Lots of people had to leave their homes and go to a new place where things were different and scary. Some people even got hurt or died because of the fighting. That's why it's called partition horrors, because it was a really scary and sad time.
On Remembrance Day, we remember all the soldiers who risked their lives to fight in wars and protect our country. We also remember the people who suffered during partition, and try to make sure that nothing like that ever happens again.
