Police services of the Empire of Japan

Okay, so imagine you live in a big kingdom called Japan a long time ago. There are some people called police officers who work for the king and queen to keep everyone safe and make sure they follow the rules.

In Japan, the police officers were called Tokko, and they worked really hard to make sure the whole kingdom was safe. They would wear special uniforms and have weapons like guns and swords to protect and catch bad guys.

The Tokko had special instructions on how to talk to people and handle different situations. They would always try to be friendly and helpful, but sometimes they had to be stern and make people follow the rules.

If someone broke a rule or did something bad, the Tokko would investigate and gather evidence. The evidence would help them figure out who did the bad thing and what punishment they should get.

The Tokko also helped with natural disasters, like earthquakes and fires. They would work with other people called firemen to put out fires and help anyone who needed it.

Overall, the Tokko in Japan did their best to keep everyone safe and happy. Even though they were strict sometimes, they were always there to help when people needed it.
