Politics and the English Language

Politics and the English language has to do with how politicians use language to communicate with people. Politicians use words to talk about their beliefs and ideas to try to get people to vote for them. They may also use language to try to convince people that their ideas are right or better than someone else’s. Politicians may use tricky words so that people don’t understand what the politician is saying or how their words could affect them. This way, people may vote for the politician without really understanding what it is that they are voting for.
