Positron

A positron is a teeny tiny particle that can be found in atoms! It’s like the opposite of an electron, which is another teeny tiny particle found in atoms. Imagine you have a friend who is always doing the opposite of what you do – that’s like a positron in an atom! When an electron meets a positron, they have a big dance party and then disappear into tiny bursts of energy called gamma rays. These little bursts of energy can be very useful in things like medical equipment and studying the insides of big things like planets!
