Prediction interval

A prediction interval is a range that we predict a certain value will fall within. For example, if we're trying to predict how much it will rain this week, we might use a prediction interval to say that it will likely rain between 0 and 5 inches. We can't be sure that it will rain a specific amount, so we use a prediction interval to give us a range of how much it might rain.
