ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Posterior probability

Posterior probability is a way of predicting what might happen in the future by looking at what has happened in the past. For example, if we know that it usually rains on the weekends, we can use that knowledge to predict that it is likely to rain tomorrow if it is a Saturday or Sunday. Posterior probability helps us understand the likelihood of future events based on the information we already have.
