ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Sequential manual transmission

A sequential manual transmission is a type of car transmission that lets you control the gears in your car like pieces on a staircase. To change gears, you move the lever up or down, like you're walking up or down stairs. The gears you can use all line up like steps, making it much easier to move the lever and shift to the right gear. With this type of transmission, you can go faster and slower than with other types of transmissions.
