ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Silk Road

Silk Road was an online marketplace where people could buy and sell things with each other using a special kind of money called Bitcoin. People could buy and sell things like drugs, weapons, and other things that weren't allowed in most places. The Silk Road was shut down by the FBI (an American police force) in 2013 because they thought some of the things people were buying, like drugs, were illegal. Bitcoin is a type of digital currency that means you don't need to use real money or even credit cards.
