Stone ship

Hey there little buddy! Have you ever seen a ship that floats on the water? Well, some people in the past also made ships, but they were made out of something completely different - stone!

A stone ship is like a big puzzle, made out of large stones that are arranged in a specific order to make the shape of a ship. It's pretty cool because even though it's made out of stones, it looks like a real ship with a hull, deck, and even sometimes a bow and stern.

Now, you may be wondering why anyone would want to make a ship out of stone instead of wood or metal. Well, these stone ships were actually made a loooooonnng time ago, when people didn't have access to the same kind of materials we have today. Also, making a ship out of stone was a way to show off how skilled the people who built it were.

Some stone ships even had animals buried underneath them, like horses or pigs. This was because the people who built the stone ship believed that the animals would somehow help guide the ship to its destination in the afterlife (a place where they believed the souls of the dead went).
