Univocity of being

Alright kiddo, let's talk about something called "univocity of being". Have you ever looked at different things around you and noticed that they all seem very different? For example, a dog is very different from a tree, and a tree is very different from a rock.

But have you ever thought about what makes them all the same? That's where the idea of "univocity of being" comes in. It's the idea that all things, whether living or non-living, big or small, are all made up of the same "stuff".

Think of it like this: imagine you have a big bag of building blocks. Each block is a different color and shape, but they all have something in common: they are building blocks! You can build all kinds of things with them, like a tower or a house, but they are all still just building blocks.

In the same way, everything in the world is made up of the same basic "stuff" - atoms and molecules. These tiny little things are the building blocks of everything around us, and they all follow the same basic rules and laws.

So even though things might look very different on the outside, they are all still made up of the same basic building blocks. That's the idea of "univocity of being" - that everything in the world is ultimately made up of the same stuff, and follows the same basic laws and rules of existence.
