Émile Durkheim

Emile Durkheim was a French sociologist who studied how people live and interact with one another in societies. He wanted to find out why people do the things they do and how that affects their lives and the communities around them. He looked at things like education, crime, suicide, religion, and social structures. Durkheim believed that people in a society help each other out and work together, so he wanted to understand what made society work together in harmony. He also believed that studying how people interact with each other could help us understand why people do the things they do, and why some things are accepted and others are rejected. Durkheim's work helped us to think about society as something that can be studied and understood.
