1 Kings 7

So, in the Bible, there is a book called 1 Kings. In one part of that book, called 1 Kings 7, it talks about a really fancy house that a king named Solomon built. This house was for God, and it was called the Temple.

The Temple had big walls made of rocks and wood, and inside there were rooms for worship and special ceremonies. There was also a big room called the Holy of Holies, which was really important because people believed that God was there.

But Solomon didn't just build a plain old house for God. He wanted it to be really special and beautiful, so he had lots of people working on it for seven years. He even hired people from other countries to help make it really fancy.

One part of the Temple that was especially fancy was the inside. There were big pillars made of bronze, which is a really shiny metal that looks like gold. The pillars held up a ceiling that was made of cedar wood that had been carved in really pretty designs.

There were also big basins made of bronze that were used for washing things and lots of other decorations made of gold and silver. Everything had to be really perfect to show how much Solomon loved God and how special the Temple was.

So, 1 Kings 7 is just talking about this really fancy house that Solomon built for God, and all the work that went into making it really special and important.
