2006 labor protests in France

In 2006, people in France went out and protested to try and get the government to give them better working conditions. They wanted better wages, job security, and rights for workers like being able to join unions and have paid holidays. The government didn't listen to them, so the people held protests, which are a form of peaceful expression where people get together and march in the streets, try to disrupt traffic, and can even sometimes clash with police. The protesters showed the government that they wouldn't back down and they wanted their demands to be met. Eventually, the government agreed to make some changes that gave people more rights and freedoms in their jobs and lives.
