Alright kiddo, the 2010 United Nations Climate Change Conference was a big meeting that happened where people from all over the world got together to talk about something really important.
You know how when you leave the lights on in your room it makes the room really hot and uncomfortable? Well, the entire planet Earth is like your room and when we use too much electricity or burn too many things, we make the planet too hot and uncomfortable for all the people, animals, and plants that live on it.
So, the people who went to this conference wanted to figure out a way to help the planet not get too hot. They all sat down and talked about different ways that they could use energy without hurting the planet, like using wind or solar power, and ways to reduce pollution that makes the air harder to breathe for all living things.
Lots of people had different ideas, and it was hard for everyone to agree on what to do, but they knew that they had to find a way to work together to help the planet. They made a plan to try and reduce pollution and to use more renewable energy, which means energy that comes from things like the sun or wind that won't run out like oil or gas.
Sometimes it's hard for grownups to agree on things, but it's really important that they keep trying to work together to help the planet stay healthy and comfortable for all of us.
