2012–14 Romanian protests against shale gas

In 2012 and 2014, people in Romania protested against a type of energy called shale gas. Shale gas is a type of gas found in rocks under the ground. People in Romania didn't want this type of gas to be used to make energy, because it is bad for the environment. So, people in Romania got together and protested by marching in the streets and telling people why they don't want shale gas to be used to make energy. They wanted their voices to be heard, and they wanted the government to listen to them and not use shale gas to make energy.
