The golden ratio is a special kind of number that can be found in nature and in art. It is created by taking two numbers and dividing the larger one by the smaller one. When you divide one number by the other number, the answer will equal the same number that you divided the original two numbers with. For example, if you take two numbers, 1 and 2, and divide 1 by 2, the answer would be 0.5. If you then divide 2 by 0.5 (the answer), the answer will be 4 - the same number you divided the two numbers with in the beginning. The golden ratio is an especially interesting number because it shows up a lot in nature, art, and music.
