2018–2019 Haitian protests

So imagine you are playing with your friends in the playground and you are all having a great time. But then one of your friends decides that they don't want to play anymore because they feel like something is not fair. They start shouting and screaming and soon other friends join in because they feel the same way.

That is kind of what happened in Haiti. The grown-ups in charge of the country did something that some of the other grown-ups didn't like. They said that they were not doing a good job and things were not fair for everyone. So, they all started shouting and screaming and they even stopped people from going to school or work to show how unhappy they were.

These protests went on for many months and lots of people got hurt, which is not good. But finally, the grown-ups listened to the unhappy people and decided to work together to make things better. That is how the protests ended and everyone could go back to their normal lives.
