2020 in Philippine music
Okay kiddo, so imagine that music is like a big party and every year, we have a new party with new songs and new singers. Well, in 2020, the party was a little different because of something called COVID-19.
Because of the virus, people couldn't go out and party together like usual. But that didn't stop the musicians in the Philippines! They still made new songs and they still sang their hearts out.
Some of the big musicians in the Philippines in 2020 were Ben&Ben, Moira Dela Torre, and Matthaios. They each had new songs that people loved. Ben&Ben had a song called "Lifetime" that talked about always loving someone, even when things get tough. Moira Dela Torre's song "Paubaya" was all about letting go of someone you love. And Matthaios had a fun song called "Nights Like This" that talked about enjoying life and having fun with your friends.
There were also some new musicians who came onto the scene in 2020. One of them was Zack Tabudlo, who had a hit song called "Stay Here." Another was R&B artist Jason Dhakal, who had a song called "Laidback."
So even though 2020 was a different kind of party, the musicians in the Philippines still brought the music and the fun. And people still danced and sang along, even if they were just doing it in their own homes!
