ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

21:9 aspect ratio

Have you ever watched a movie on a really wide screen at the movie theater? The screen is wider than a regular TV screen, and you can see more of the movie all at once. This is kind of like what a 21:9 aspect ratio is.

TV screens and computer monitors usually have a 16:9 aspect ratio, which means they are wider than they are tall. This is like a rectangle. But a 21:9 aspect ratio is even wider, like a really long rectangle.

This can be good for watching movies or playing games because you can see more of what is happening on the screen without having to move your eyes around too much. It's kind of like having a wider view of the world.

However, not all content is made for a 21:9 aspect ratio, so sometimes you might see black bars at the top and bottom of the screen (this is called letterboxing) to fit the content on the wider screen. But overall, a 21:9 aspect ratio can make for a really cool and immersive viewing or gaming experience.
