ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

24-hour analog dial

Have you ever seen a clock with 12 numbers around the edge and two little hands? That's called an analog clock. Now imagine the same type of clock but instead of 12 numbers on the outside, there are 24. That's what a 24-hour analog dial looks like!

It works the same way as a regular analog clock, but the big difference is that it goes all the way up to 24 instead of stopping at 12. This can be helpful in places where people use a 24-hour clock instead of a 12-hour one, like in the military or in other countries.

The hour hand on the 24-hour analog dial moves around the clock just like on a regular analog clock, but instead of going all the way around twice in one day (like it does on a 12-hour clock), it only goes around once. So if the hour hand is pointing straight up at the number 12 at noon, it will point straight down at the number 12 again at midnight.

Overall, a 24-hour analog dial is just a clock that uses 24 numbers instead of 12, so that people who use a 24-hour clock can easily tell the time.
