Okay, kiddo, so there are lots of things that our brain does to help us think and understand the world around us. Sometimes we call these things "cognitionibus," which is just a fancy word for all the different ways that our brain works.
For example, when you see a toy on the floor and you recognize it as your favorite toy, that's your brain using a type of cognitionibus called "recognition." It's like your brain is saying, "Hey, I know that thing! I've seen it before and I remember what it is!"
Another type of cognitionibus is called "attention." This is when your brain focuses on something important, like when you're trying to solve a puzzle or listen to your teacher in class. Your brain uses its attention to filter out all the distractions around you so that you can really concentrate on what's most important.
There are lots of other kinds of cognitionibus too, like memory (when your brain remembers things from the past), perception (when your brain interprets what your eyes see and your ears hear), and imagination (when your brain creates new ideas and scenarios in your mind).
All of these different kinds of cognitionibus work together in really amazing ways to help us learn, grow, and understand the world around us. Our brains are really powerful and amazing, and they do so much without us even realizing it!
