ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

A series and B series

When we talk about a series or b series, we are usually discussing a group of things that are arranged in a certain order.

Think about when you play with your toys, and you line them up from smallest to largest or arrange them by color. This is similar to a series or b series, where things are arranged in a particular way.

A series is the name we give to a group of things that are arranged in a certain order. This order could be based on size, color, or how they are related to each other. For example, a series of numbers might start with 1, then 2, then 3, and so on.

A b series, on the other hand, is a different way of arranging things. Instead of being based strictly on size or color, it depends on how we choose to group things together.

For instance, let's say we have a series of dog breeds, and the order is based on how big they are. A b series of the same breeds might be arranged based on their origin, so we would group breeds that come from the same country together.

In summary, a series and a b series are both ways of arranging things, but they differ in how they are organized. A series is based on a specific attribute, while a b series can be organized based on several different factors.
