Imagine there was a person who lived a long, long time ago in a place called Rome. This person, called a "theachtaire" (which means messenger in Irish), would travel all the way from Rome to bring news or messages to other people far away. They would walk or ride on horses or even use boats to cross the water. It was a very important job because people didn't have phones or computers to quickly communicate with each other like we do now. So, the theachtaire had to be very brave and strong to travel so far and bring the messages safely to the people who were waiting for them.
