ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

ACH Network

The ACH Network is like a magic train that carries money from one bank account to another. Let's say your mom owes your dad $20 for a pizza party. She can use the ACH train to send the money directly from her bank account to your dad's bank account.

The train track that the ACH train runs on is made up of a bunch of special computer networks that help banks talk to each other. These networks make sure the money gets from one bank account to another safely and securely.

Once the money is on the ACH train, it travels along the track until it reaches your dad's bank account. Then, the money gets off the train and goes into his account.

The ACH train is really important because it helps people move money around easily and quickly. Businesses use it to pay their employees, and you can use it to pay your own bills online. But just like with any train, it's important to make sure you're sending the money to the right person, or else it might end up in someone else's bank account by mistake!
