ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Ab-Zohr

Ok kiddo, so "ab-zohr" is actually a Persian word that means "noon prayer".

Now, in Islam, there are five prayers that people pray during the day, and ab-zohr is one of them. It's the prayer that you pray during midday, when the sun is at its highest point in the sky.

To perform the ab-zohr prayer, you need to make sure you're clean and wearing clean clothes. Then, you face towards a special direction called the qiblah, which is towards the Kaaba in Mecca.

You start by saying a special phrase called the takbir, and then you recite some verses from the Quran. You also bow down and put your forehead on the ground, which is called prostrating.

Basically, the ab-zohr prayer is a way for Muslims to connect with Allah (God) and show their devotion to Him during the middle of the day. It's an important part of their daily routine and helps them remember to be grateful and mindful throughout the day.
