Abilene (biblical)

Abilene is a place that is talked about in the Bible. It is believed to be a region that was located in what is now the country of Syria.

A region is a big area with lots of different places in it, kind of like how your playroom might have different areas for your toys.

In Bible times, people would talk about different areas of land and give them special names, like how you might give your favorite stuffed animal a special name. Abilene was one of these special names.

People in the Bible would talk about Abilene as a place where different groups of people lived. They might travel through Abilene on their way to other places, or they might stop there to rest or do other things.

Today, we don't know as much about Abilene as people did back then because things have changed a lot over time. But we can still learn about Abilene from reading the Bible and studying history.
