ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Abundant number

An abundant number is a special kind of number that has more "friends" than itself. Imagine you have toys and you have enough toys to share with your friends. If you have more toys than your friends, then you are an abundant toy giver! Abundant numbers are like that too. They have special friends, which are all the other numbers that can divide into them (without leaving any leftovers). For example, if you have the number 12, it can be divided by 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6. If you add up all those "friends," it would be 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 6 = 16. And that's bigger than 12! So we say that 12 is an abundant number. It's like having more toys than your friends!
