Academic fencing

Academic fencing is a sport where students from different universities or colleges come together and fight with swords. It's like playing a game, but instead of using a ball, people use sharp swords.

The players wear special clothes called "fencing gear" which protect them from getting hurt by the swords. They also wear masks to protect their faces.

The swords used in academic fencing are called "foils" and they are very thin and flexible. They are not like the swords you see in movies that are big and heavy.

The players have to follow certain rules and regulations while fighting. They have to hit their opponents in specific areas of their body, and they can't hit them too hard or too many times.

Academic fencing is not about hurting each other, but rather about practicing and showing off skills. It is also a way for students from different universities to meet each other and have a friendly competition.
