Accelerated failure time model

An accelerated failure time model is a type of mathematical model used to estimate how long it takes for something to happen. It looks at how quickly or slowly something is happening relative to something else. For example, if we wanted to know how long it takes for two people to finish a race, we could use an accelerated failure time model. By looking at the relative speed of the two people, we could estimate the time it takes for both of them to finish.
