Action theory (philosophy)

Action theory is a branch of philosophy that looks at the question of why we act the way we do and how our actions shape who we are. It tries to understand how our beliefs, values and assumptions lead us to act in certain ways and why we make the decisions we do. Action theory looks at the different factors that influence our behavior, like our environment, family, friends and culture. It tries to figure out how our actions are motivated and how they shape our moral character.
