ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Active pen

An active pen is like a special pencil that can be used to draw and write on a tablet or computer screen. It has a small tip that is sensitive to pressure, which means that it can sense how hard you are pressing. The active pen also has a button at the end that you can use to do different things, like selecting something on the screen or erasing what you've written.

Because the active pen is "active," it needs power to work. This power can come from a battery inside the pen, or from being charged up through a cable. Some active pens also have fancy features, like being able to tilt the tip to draw thicker or thinner lines.

The active pen is really useful for people who like to draw or write on their computer or tablet. It can be more precise than using your finger, and it gives you more control over what you're doing. So if you like to doodle or take notes, an active pen might be just what you need!
