ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Acts of repudiation

Okay kiddo, imagine if you made a promise to your friend to share your toys with them every day after school. Then one day, you decide you don't want to share your toys anymore and tell your friend you won't be keeping your promise. That would be an act of repudiation!

So, an act of repudiation is basically when someone breaks a promise they made or goes against something they said they would do. It can happen in many different situations, like when two countries sign a peace treaty but then one country decides they don't want peace anymore and breaks the agreement.

Repudiation can lead to disagreements, fights and even legal problems. That's why it's important to always try and keep your promises and follow through on what you said you would do.
