Administrative divisions of China

China is a very big country like the biggest toy store you've ever seen. To make things easy to manage, grown-ups have divided the country into different sections like how your toys would be organized on different shelves. These sections are called administrative divisions.

The first layer of this division is called Provinces. These are big areas that cover a lot of ground with a lot of people. It's like if your toy store was divided into different zones with different toys in each one.

Then, inside each province, there are smaller areas called prefectures. These are like mini-toy stores within the big toy store.

Inside each prefecture, there are counties (sometimes also called districts). This is like if you had different toy brands that needed their own separate space within the prefecture.

Finally, inside each county, there can be even smaller divisions called townships or towns. These are like if you needed even more organization and divided the toys within the brand into types (like dolls, action figures, etc.)

All of these different types of divisions help grown-ups keep track of things more easily, kind of like how you organize your toys at home!
