Aerial archaeology

Aerial archaeology is a type of science where archaeologists use an airplane or a drone to take pictures of the ground from high up in the sky. The pictures show us things that we might not be able to spot from the ground, like ancient buildings, walls and roads from long ago. By looking at these pictures, archaeologists can learn more about the history of a place and how people used to live.
