Aerofilms

Okay kiddo, have you heard of photographs? They are like pictures that we take with a camera.

Now, have you ever looked at a map of your town or city? Maps show us where different streets, buildings and places are. But have you ever wondered how they draw them so accurately? That's where aerofilms come in.

Aerofilms are like photographs, but they aren't taken from the ground. Instead, they are taken from high up in the sky, usually from a plane or a helicopter. This way, the camera can see a big area all at once, and take pictures of things that are too big or far away to see from the ground.

These photographs are used to make maps, like the ones we see in an atlas or on Google Maps. They are also used to survey land and plan construction projects, like building a new road or airport.

So, aerofilms are really just pictures taken from way up high to help us understand our world better. Pretty neat, huh?
