Africa Adaptation Initiative

The Africa Adaptation Initiative is like a big plan that the countries in Africa came up with to help them cope with things that are happening because of climate change.

Climate change is when the weather is changing a lot and it's making things harder for people to live. For example, it's making it harder for farmers to grow crops because there's not enough rain, or there's too much rain and everything floods.

The Africa Adaptation Initiative is like a list of things that these countries can do to help them deal with these problems. They can make plans to build better ways to store water, or plant crops that can survive in dry weather. They can also work together to share information about what works and what doesn't.

By doing all of these things, the countries in Africa hope to be better prepared for the effects of climate change, and to protect their people and their land.
