African-American upper class is a group of African-American people who have a lot of money. They usually live in nice neighborhoods, have nice houses and cars, and can afford to buy things that cost a lot of money, like fancy vacations and designer clothes. The African-American upper class often works in higher-paying jobs, like doctors, lawyers, and CEOs, and they often have college degrees. It's rare for African-Americans to be wealthy because for many years in the United States, African-Americans were not given the same opportunity to make a lot of money as other groups. But today, there has been progress in closing the gap and more African-Americans are joining the upper class.
