Afro-Argentines

Afro-Argentines are people who have African roots and live in Argentina. They used to be brought to Argentina in the 1500s and 1600s to be slaves on sugar and cotton plantations. Today, some of their descendants still live in Argentina and they are a minority compared to the rest of the population. They usually have dark skin, curly hair, and African features. They often face discrimination in Argentina because of their skin color and heritage.
