Afro-Caribbean people

Afro-Caribbean people are people who come from places with a long history of African people who were taken abroad and sold as slaves. These people come from places in the Caribbean such as Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. They usually have dark skin and may speak different languages or have different customs than where they were taken to. Afro-Caribbean people are proud of their culture and heritage and work to keep it alive.
