Agar

Agar is a jelly-like substance made from seaweed. It is usually found in powder form and is used in many different ways, such as in cooking, in medical labs, and in science experiments. When the agar powder is mixed with water, it becomes a thick and solid gel. This gel can be used like a solid surface to grow cells in scientific experiments, or as a thickener in recipes such as pudding and jellies.
