Agency (philosophy)

Agency is a way of thinking about how people make decisions. It's the idea that you are in charge of your own life, that you have the power to make choices and do things for yourself. It means that you don't need to wait for someone else to tell you what to do; you can decide for yourself. Plus, even when other people do give you advice, you can still choose to take it or not. Agency helps us to feel more empowered and confident in our decisions.
