Agloe, New York is a place that doesn't really exist, but sort of does. Back in the 1930s, a company that made maps wanted to make sure nobody copied their maps without permission, so they made up a fake town called Agloe and put it on their map. They even made up streets and buildings for it. But then, something strange happened. People started looking for Agloe and trying to find it on the map. Some people even started saying they lived there, even though it wasn't really a real place.
Eventually, a real store was built in the spot where Agloe was supposed to be on the map. It was called the Agloe General Store. So even though Agloe wasn't originally a real town, it sort of became one over time because people started believing in it and using it as a real place. Today, the Agloe General Store is still there, and people travel from all over to see it and take pictures. So even though Agloe doesn't really exist, it sort of does, in a way.
