Airbridge (logistics)

An airbridge is like a bridge that goes between an airplane and a building. It helps people move things from the plane to the building or the other way around.

When a big plane lands at an airport, it can be tricky to move all the things and people from the plane to the building. Sometimes the plane is too far away from the building to walk, or it might not be safe to walk outside when it's really hot or cold or rainy.

That's where the airbridge comes in. It's a big machine that looks like a long arm or a tube with wheels. The airbridge goes up to the door of the plane on one end of the arm and to the building on the other end of the arm. People and things can go through the arm safely and easily without having to go outside.

The airbridge does an important job in making sure that everything gets off the plane and into the building without any problems. It helps people and things move smoothly and quickly, which is really important when you're at the airport.
