Alcohol burner

An alcohol burner is a type of stove that uses alcohol as fuel to produce heat. It is commonly used in small cooking and heating applications, such as in laboratories, camping, and at home.

The burner consists of a metal container, usually made of brass or stainless steel, with a flat surface on top for placing a pot or pan. Inside the container, there is a small reservoir for holding alcohol.

To use the burner, you need to add some alcohol to the reservoir and light it up using a match or lighter. The alcohol burns slowly, producing a steady flame that heats up the metal surface. You can adjust the flame by varying the amount of alcohol you add to the burner.

One of the benefits of using an alcohol burner is that it produces a clean and smokeless flame, unlike other fuel sources like coal or wood. It is also relatively safe to use, as alcohol does not emit harmful fumes or sparks.

However, alcohol burners have limited heat output and are not suitable for large-scale cooking or heating. They are best used for small applications or as a backup heat source. It is also important to handle alcohol burners with care, as the flames can be hot and the alcohol can be flammable.
