ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Aleutian Low

Okay kiddo, let me explain what the Aleutian Low is in a way you'll understand. The Aleutian Low is like a big, fluffy cloud that sometimes sits over an area in the Pacific Ocean near Alaska. It's called a Low because it's a place where the air pressure is lower than the areas around it.

Now, this big, fluffy cloud acts like a boss and controls the weather in the Pacific Ocean. When it's around, it makes the weather colder in some places, and warmer in others. It can also make it windy and rainy, or calm and peaceful.

Scientists study the Aleutian Low to try and predict what the weather will be like in different places. They look at the patterns of the low and use special tools to figure out how it will affect the Earth's weather.

So, that's the Aleutian Low. Kind of like a big, fluffy weather boss that can make things colder, warmer, windier, or rainier.
