Altaic languages

Altaic languages are a group of languages that include Mongolian, Turkish, and Korean. They are called Altaic because they all come from the same family tree, like how you and your cousins come from the same family.

Imagine you are sitting at a big family dinner with all of your cousins. You might all look different, have different names, and speak different languages, but you all have a lot in common because you come from the same family. This is kind of like how the Altaic languages are related.

Mongolian is a language that people speak in Mongolia, which is a country in Asia. Turkey is a country in Europe and Asia, and Turkish is the language they speak there. And Korea is a country in East Asia where people speak Korean.

Even though these three languages might sound different to us, they share some words and grammar rules that are similar. It's like how you and your cousins might have the same grandparents or aunt and uncle.

So, even though Altaic languages come from different parts of the world and are spoken by different people, they are related because they come from the same family tree.
