Amateur radio direction finding

Amateur radio direction finding is an activity that you can do with a special radio that can help you find out which direction a signal is coming from. It works like this: you send out a signal using your special radio, and then you use the special radio to listen for the signal as it bounces back. By listening for the signal and following it, you can figure out which direction it came from. You can also use the signal to figure out how far away the signal is from you. Amateur radio direction finding can be used for a lot of things, like looking for lost aircraft or finding people in an emergency!
