astronauts

Astronauts are people who are specially trained to go up into space on rockets. They wear special space suits that protect them from the extreme temperatures and low air pressure of outer space. They use a spaceship to get to outer space, where they can experience what it's like to float in a place with no gravity. They perform experiments, take pictures of the planets, and sometimes go on spacewalks. It's a really cool job!
