Ambulatory

Ambulatory means that you are able to walk around on your own. Think of it like your legs are your car and you can use them to take you wherever you want to go. When a person is called "ambulatory," it means that they are able to get up and move around without someone else's help. So, if you've ever seen someone with crutches or a wheelchair, they may not be considered ambulatory because they need help to move around. But someone who can walk on their own, like you and me, are considered ambulatory.
