American Association of University Professors

Okay kiddo, so the American Association of University Professors is a group of people who work together to make sure that professors who work at colleges and universities have fair treatment. Colleges and universities are places where people go to learn about all sorts of things, like science and history and art. And the professors are the ones who teach these things to the students.

Now, it's important for these professors to be treated fairly because they are the ones who are helping students learn all these important things. They should be able to have a say in how classes are taught and what they teach, and they should also be paid fairly and not be unfairly fired.

So that's why the American Association of University Professors was created - to make sure that professors are treated fairly and that they have a say in what happens at the colleges and universities where they work.
